I really wanted to know more about Azra. All in all, a very good read. This is a long Urdu novel of about pages.
A vivid depiction of the urdj disillusionment and seismic upheavals. Really liked the first half of the novel where you imagine how people were living in the villages and how simple their life would be. The writing style reminds me of one of my favorite crime movies ” one upon a time in America”. Characters weren’t explored completely, eg. View all 6 comments. Each character has been shown to its complete depth. Despite these few short comings, it remains one of the best novels in Nlvel, the situations and characters are all believable, you can identify with them, the story is interesting and moves at fast pace.
From the first till last page there is a peculiar kind of despair surrounding all the characters and the story itself.
